The Academic Partnership Initiative (API) is a Student Intern-to-Startup Matching program of the 501c BizIncubator Council™ and its lead charity, EEF-501c™ where US Academic Institutions are accepted as Partners for Year-Long Internships for Students attending their Institution.

API originally focused only on Students enrolled in the Schools of Technology but we have and continue to expand API to include other disciplines such as Communication & Podcasting as well as other disciplines/careers that are known and not-known to be underserved. This expansion arose when we realized it would also benefit our health & well-fitness and we noticed the need for the legal clinic we’ve been planning that will server our Awardees.

API is a reflection of our mission and purpose, its keenly focused on leveling the playing field for those who are ignored, underserved, there but not recognized. Institutions eligible for Partnership are on the lower-bottom have of Federal ranking/rating resources such as those produced from NCES.

501c BizInc Council™ & EEF-501c™ serve Partnerships nationally, in DC & PR with College and University-level Students who attend:

** Community Colleges (CC),
** Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs)
** Minority Serving Institutions (MSI),
** Vocational Education Institutions (VocEds)

Originally the selection process including producing a list then extended invitations. At this time we are accepting pre-registrations for when the program comes off hiatus. Once we resume, we will determine how to modify the process based on how many institutions have pre-registered for consideration.

Media resources such as those from US News and World Report may or may not be considered but only as a resource. They are not determining factors as we’re in our 50th year of helping our Stakeholders wo are ignored, unrecognized and/or underserved segment of small businesses.

In the mean time, do know external resources have no bearing on our decisions as to whom shall or shall not be considered. we are exceptional and conducting our own research and those shall always be the primary factor for selecting partnership institutions.

As such possible, we work to maintain a keen awareness of others who unfortunately find they are similarly dispositioned, and we document all as encountered. That said, we reserve to modify this or any other program as we validate that our gap-filling efforts are becoming less necessary.

We can only hope.
